About

Highly Productive Computing Systems (HPCS) and PGAS languages are considered as important avenues for achieving the Exascale computational capabilities. Many graph analysis applications are developed using non-HPCS/PGAS techniques such as MPI, MapReduce. In this project our focus is to promote the use of HPCS languages for large graph analysis. ScaleGraph library provides a complete object-oriented programming interface for large graph analysis using the award winning HPCS langauge X10.

The design goals of ScaleGraph are, programmer productivity, high scalability in future exascale systems, support for wide variety of graph representation standards and analysis algorithms.

ScaleGraph Team

ScaleGraph has been developed by a team of students led by Prof. Toyotaro Suzumura from IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, Barcelona Supercomputing Center (Visiting Professor), University of Tokyo (Visiting Researcher).  This project had been kicked off since he was a visiting professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology. The current team members include Koji Ueno, Charuwat Houngkaew , Hidefumi Ogata, Shogo Kishimoto, Yuji Iwasaki,  Hirotada Kiriyama, Mikiya Imura, Ryosuke Funaki, Shinji Ogawa, Makoto Saito and Toyotaro Suzumura (University College Dublin/Tokyo Institute of Technology/IBM Research). The past team members include Miyuru Dayarathna, Kansyun Ou, Noriaki Sakamoto, Izumi Asakura and Nguyen Thien Bao.
